The Process
|
Raw product is fed into Northern Crop Driers high temperature drier using a JCB 530 Loadall. It is then dried at temperatures of up to 500 degrees Celsius.

When dried the product is sent, by means of a rotary valve, through a series of pipes, and moved from the drier building to the storage shed where it is ejected. This process cools the material before it is stored awaiting movement to the bagging plant.

During the production process dust is extracted twice from the product before it is finally put into 85 litre weatherproof bags and sold as .

55 bags are stacked on to a pallet and stretch-wrapped with the company's new wrapping machine. This tightly coats the exterior of the pallet in 2 layers of stretch-wrap, which makes not only a tidy pallet but total ease of transportation as well.
